Touch of an Angel *Poem*

Touch of an Angel

 I hear your voice

It sounds so sweet and innocent

I draw you near and hold you tight

Fearing that you will slip from my embrace

I’ll follow you to the centers of the Earth

To the ends of time

Just to hold you tight

To feel your touch,

The touch of an angel

As the nights grow cold

I draw you near

To feel your warmth

Your breath against my skin

I long for this night to last

As you look into my eyes

I see myself reflected in your emerald gaze

As I see you, I can not look away

Your gaze has my paralyzed

The eyes of an angel

Those last two lines have really stuck with me since reading your poem. Hope to see more poems soon! Thanks Jaydean @starlingpoet

Loved the poem - thanks for sharing. My favorite part was the last 4 lines - a really great ending. Reflected in your emerald gaze - that is so beautiful!
