Love Floats With Ice
Gin and tonic
Juniper is
essence of fresh pine
bitterly stood tall in
forest hills once

Soaked and drunk
a writer I am
taking sip after sip
from the salty rim
while being kissed
by divine lips

Fever and pulsations
Chase me
When five senses are lost
sixth sense will come alive
Chase me
with intuition

Hint of Lime
splash of hope
Tingle my tongue
Bitter water
salted rim
Sparkle my glass

It all tastes fine with me
'til I see the sign
DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE
Bitter lesson
became
bitter reminder
Bitter remains
Remained
hint of lime

Hope was splashed by ice
in
love floats with ice

It still was a joy

God, grant me the serenity
To accept the things I cannot change
Courage to change the things I can,
And wisdom to know the difference
---The serenity prayer

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us---Roman5: 1-5
