Shadow Man
A little child sits shivering
in the corner of the room.

Knowing the awful Shadow Man
will be coming in real soon.

The child looks for an exit
just any place to run!

A Place to hide from cruelty
and the awful things he's done.

Oh no, don't let the sun set,
please leave the sun in place?

Please hide me from the darkness
and the look on that mans face!

Please don't let him touch me,
or hurt me Lord I pray?

Hide me from the shadow man,
who makes me so afraid?

A very disturbing, yet honest poem. Reflects the sad truth of society. Very clever description of "Shadow Man". It must've been difficult to write about. You've done very well!

To actually have this done to you and to then write about it years later is true bravery on your part. I admire your courage and the fact that you chose to share it with us. My best goes out to you.

Synopsis
A Poem written about experiences I had as a child. In attempt to shine light on the evil shadows that molest and beat children every day! Across the world I hope this poem shouts "you are not alone" Someone is with you and our hearts and spirits hold you close!
