So Tired
So tired of people hiding behind what they call wisdom
Just because they are older and i am young they think that I should listen
They press apon me their closed minded thoughts
Without even seeing if their thoughts were not

They think that just because they have a degree
That they are smarter, better than me
Yet who needs a piece of paper to validate knowledge
I research on my own with out having ever been to college

They always raise their voices to out scream what's right
Closed minds they have that's why they are afraid of the night
For at night on their own they must face the truth
They have been bested out thought by this callow youth

An open mind is better than age and wisdom
But with both you could build your very own kingdom
A kingdom in your mind that could never be bested
An unbeatable combination true, tried, and tested

So when they still scream at the top of their lungs
All the while knowing that when the day is done
The one who spoke quietly and with knowledge in his eyes
Will be there to point out the lies

I agree with you in your thinking here for a piece of paper does not make a person wise. Smart maybe, but not wise. At the same time I have to say that maybe those older than you may see someting you are doing that may cause you or someone else harm. To keep an open mind on ALL parties involved is a good thing.

Synopsis
I usually dont write a description but this one needs it. Have you ever gotten into an argument with someone and the only way they can try and win the argument is to shout louder than you and tell you how they are right because they are older and wiser than you? think about that while you are reading this.
