Victory Drains the Tigers Fight
...
Fires burning, land charcoal stained

we watch as the fight draws to an end,

our Tiger draws in asharp lengthy breath,

as the fight pauses to mirror his death,

The stance of a warrior, crumbles under,

his war time cry swallows the thunder,

an emotional journey fading away,

the path of the past absorbed into grey,

The beasts’ eyes on fire with an evil courage,

the new year threatened by winds of worry,

hornet screaming, each living soul trapped,

until he reaches and retrieves that heart,

A feast for all, a midnight delivery,

the heart is pulled from the beast in misery,

one last breath not sharp or lengthy,

but slow and victorious, the tigers apathy.
