Gone

I noticed a beauty, a wondrous sight,
more poignant even than that star that night,
I reached out my hand, to feel its glory,
a romance found to better any story.
That flash of gold, that sound of fire,
the warmth found in each desire.
Un-named it was an unclassified thing,
an object unseen, to most living things.
Unsure of its origin, its founder unknown,
but clearly an idea to those alone,
this wondrous sight, within my glaze,
I’d stare forever and never be phased.
Yet as the night lightened & turned to day
sunlight had come, it dissolved – away.
