The Folly of Man
My kind was born with the dawning of the sun.
We were here at the beginning and shall be here till
the end. We dance through the trees for we are one
with the earth and sky. You have seen us among you
but never really saw who we truly are. You revered and
believed in us long ago. Asked for our counsel and aid
for many things, but as time went on you began asking
and begging for things not of this world and when denied
you began to hunt us, trying to destroy what you could
not find. So in your vengeance, folly and greed you
destroyed your own, calling them by our name in the
hopes of getting what you thought you deserved.

Silly fools ye be to think you are greater than ye are.
For you still have not learned after all this time, to take
only what you need and to share with those who have
less than you. For love of mankind is the only true
magic. When and If ye finally realize this You shall
see all the magic the world has to offer but if not it
will pass you by like a shooting star in the night sky.

Nice title for these words of wisdom. I was thinking of how according to creation, the animals were here well before man was. And this write here is maybe something they are trying to tell us. Interesting concept here.
