I Had a Dream
i had a dream
a vision of things to be
hearts brushed with color
worlds that would be free
battle fields were silent
the warriors gone away
nothing left to kill
man had found his way
oh, what a dream it was...it was

i had a dream
it was a night to behold
i slept like a child
in arms of an angel's fold
blue skies, and white clouds
drifted over mountains high
i saw the end of war
in the warrior's eye
oh, what a dream it was...it was

there were black and yellow butterflies
sailing in the breeze
somewhere heavenly music
brought me to my knees
i've never felt so innocent
so unafraid of the night
i wished to sleep forever
beyond the mornings light
oh, what a dream it was...it was

Fantastic! Reminds me a little of the lyric to "Sounds of Silence".

What a wonderful dream to have. This reminds me of the old Louie Armstrong song "What a Wonderful World". I agree totally with Moonrose on what you wrote here.

This is very nice, refreshing to read. :)) I really like it, one of those timeless dreams of peace and harmony presented in a new, touching way. I especially like the imagery, and the ending to each stanza. Good job!
