Kids

Things were different, a different time
All together we lived in rhyme
Fairytales, stories, imaginations ago
Engaging with anyone, whether friend or foe.

The days, the years, the laughter and tears,
All so long ago, yet so shortly lived
There was a time in our lives when we had open ears
eyes and minds, and all our hearts to give.

We grow each day older, each day stronger,
wiser, better, harder, living ever longer
As we go on, we're living with more strife
Yet it all seems worth it, if we create another life.
