The Visit

I see it there up in the sky.

It's hovering there so very high.

I feel such love, I have no fear

As I stand to watch, it's drawing near.

It lands with ease this huge machine.

It's the biggest thing I've ever seen!

With lots of lights and a quiet hum,

I look and wonder where it comes from.

As it hovers there just above the ground,

I have no fear, it's a peaceful sound.

The door slides open to invite me inside;

My curiosity's peaked so I abide.

I enter the craft so vast in size,

It's awesome in here, you cannot surmise!

Their technology's advanced far beyond ours/

They do not speak, yet use special powers.

I feel serene. It's heavenly here;

Lasers surround me, still I have no fear.

I see I am cut, but I have no pain

Where is my blood? This is mundane.

I am not fearful, I am willing to give,

I know I'm a study, they'll let me live.

My breathing is shallow, still, no fear

Is this the end that is drawing so near?

I see the bright light, I am telling them no

But they tell me it's time for me to go.

How long have I been here? I am not aware.

Who are these people stopping to stare?

They are frightened, "Are you alright?

The doors just opened! The light was so bright!"

"What year is it now?" I ask in awe

To the stars above I feel a draw.

I check my body for proof that I've been

And lived a time with the alien.

I wait and watch for their ship I'll see

In hopes they come back, again to take me.
