My Little Angel

My Gramma picked me up today,

She took me to the park.

So we could laugh and play all day.

We stayed 'til after dark

So we could watch the sunset

As it shadowed all the trees.

We made up little stories;

Our imaginations pleased.

We gathered up our blanket

and walked along the street.

We made a turn, this way and that,

So tired were our feet.

My Gramma put me in the tub

With bubbles all around,

She scrubbed me from my head to toe

As I made my tugboat sounds.

And then she read me stories

After tucking me in bed.

I said, "I Love You Gramma"

As she bent to kiss my head.

"Good night my little angel.

May all your dreams come true.

As you wish upon the stars above,

tomorrow's a day brand new."
