A CRACKLIN' ON THE BAY
As I awoke this morning
a picture came to me.
Something I've always longed for,
something I'd hoped to see.
There was a gentle breeze a blowin'
shuffling across the sand,
Giving off an unknown strength
to this here promised land.
I quickly rushed to see it
as I stood there on the shore.
Oh, it had a beauty all its own,
But it left me wanting more.
And as I stood in awe
of this beauty I was to behold;
I understood the power
of God's own strength unfold.
For the sun it gently rose
above the waters far away,
I stood there just to see it
A Cracklin' on the Bay.
