Parasol

In his loft above the street
the artist draws
with brush and paint
a picture of a perfect world.

He frames it, hangs it
and nothing changes.
Bombs still fall,and explode
shattering rainbows in the sky

 and the poet writes
wondering if his words
will provide a parasol
against the falling coloured drops.

Fanatastic bit of poetry, papaK. I especially like the phase "shattering rainbows in the sky". Don't particularly like "He frames it, hangs it" tho

A message in the words. Life still goes on whether we paint or write.
