Daddy's Girl
  Mom's are important,
but daddy's leave an impression,
        to a growing little girl
  his strength is the obsession.
Sitting on his lap and kissing
          his manly cheek,
  remembering all the memories
of me dancing on his feet.
 Wrapped around his finger like
    most of daddy's little girls,
    for this bond we've made
will never fade because I am
        my daddy's world.

ahhh, so many have done the dancing on the feet. such an adorable memory. i love your use of "manly cheek" such a contrast. the cliche "wrapped around finger" line was a cute insert and the "daddy's world" such a familiar phrase ends nicely with the rhyme scheme- it makes it musical. again your poems...these short ones are like firecrackers. they pop with images, almost a moment frozen in time that lifts off the page for the reader to grab it dissipates like cigarette smoke in the air once we finish reading, but remains in our [lungs] hearts long after the poem is read.
