Hope Lessened

Weighed down by a care that could cause you to stare
At your luminous walls each night
Do you sit in your bed with your hand in your head
Sure you will not be sleeping alright

Is your heart too heavy to feel
Or your ache too hollow to cope
Do the thoughts in your mind, of their usual kind
Drown your joys, and leave little to hope

Oh, how does one go on from here
And what should one say one lives for
Should one live in a space where one's hope has no place
Not to ever know love as before

There is no joy in sadness - there is no hope in death
Yet, I'll pick up my load 'til the end of my road
Till I draw from the last of my breath

Oh where do I find my hope or where will I find my joy
If the saying is true, we will never be two
" …and one you shall loose ever more"

Another well told creation by your marvellous mind. You sum up hope and desperation here. Very good!
