to conquer

She stood bravely,

Boldly,

In front of that enemy

Of which there was no other way

To conquer.

And on that moment

She did not weep or despair,

Did not fill up with dread

And an unending sense of hopelessness,

Did not linger over the end

Of what she would do

And what she would see.

Instead,

She smiled.

Yes, this reminds me of a female warrior, too.

I like this for it can go in a few ways. To conquear a fear, an enemy, a danger. Plainly told that says a lot.
