Shattered Souls
He sits in his room
falling apart
trying to mend a broken heart
The pieces they lay
all over the floor
the empty frame still on the door

She lay in her bed
tending fresh scars
wondering how she made it this far
Beaten again
just like before
she's not sure she can take anymore

How do we deal with the pain?
How do we ease these shattered souls?

To ease these shattered souls
there's got to be light
you know you can still find some stars in the night
There is a way
to find a new day
we are the shattered souls

He walks through the streets
searching for a life
how he gets sick of this strife
But this war will not end
there's still lives to save
he'll walk these streets until he finds his grave

A day full of black
as they said farewell
crying beneath the chapel bell
They fell to their knees
to pray for their friend
never to see her again

How do we deal with the pain?
How do we ease these shattered souls?

To ease these shattered souls
there's got to be light
you know you can still find some stars in the night
There is a way
to find a new day
we are the shattered souls

*Hold on to all that you've got
It's not much longer now to wait
There is light at the end of the tunnel
Don't let your hope fade*

For these shattered souls
The day has finally come
At last you've pulled through, you have won
Here's your fresh start
hope in your heart
to ease these shattered souls

to ease these shattered souls

these shattered souls

Yes, this is like music lyrics. My favorite poem by you.

It's brilliant! Have you written music to go with it? I'd love to hear the melody of the lyrics! Major or minor key?

Completely compelling, leaving me begging for more. Moonrose, please, oh please, write more! Really enjoyed the simplicity, yet intriguing way You wrote and described the vivid images rapidly entering and flowing into my spacious pink fluff (most call it a mind or a brain xP). Love the portrayal of the hopes even through such a hard time...hits home.

Wow. I really enjoyed it. Each verse had me paint a vivid picture in my mind. Keep writing. :D

Synopsis
My second song... thought I'd share ^.^ I just finished it and it's a bit rough; the part in asterisks (which is the bridge or whatever you call it) is definitely going to be worked on, but the rest is pretty solid for the most part. I wish you could hear it lol, it's actually sounding pretty good. I'm really happy with this one so I thought I'd share the lyrics =D
A Word from the Writer
Hhhmmm. Mebbe I'll try to make it possible for you to listen if you want... I'm considering making a site or myspace for my friend and I (we're starting a band; Roses & Riots, whoo!) after we've got a few more songs. Lol anyways tell me what you think :)
