Becoming Human
My gut was a whirlwind of guilt and fear. You were superhuman. You were pure. How could you accept me?

But you made me brave, and I took a leap. I let myself go for just a moment. And you took that moment with arms wide open - instead of taking me in, you gave yourself away.

Your eyes were sincere and your heart pure and your soul bared. You let me in.

We let each other in.

There was nothing special, nothing new, nothing profound. Only us. Two people. Two souls.

“It's okay,” and a hug. That's all it takes.

I will owe you forever. All I have is myself to give, but that's okay.

That's all you wanted anyway.
