Reason, Clarity, and Luck - Silent Battle
The two stared at each other, both flicking their eyes down at the same time to eye what they were competing for. A high-pitched whine was heard, but it was ignored by both. One glanced down again, her dark gray-green eyes lingering.
"What in God's name are you two doing?" Reason asked.
"Staring contest," one answered emotionlessly. Her light blue eyes bored into her opponent's.
Again, the high-pitched whine was heard. Reason sighed, taking the small puppy outside and leaving the two alone.
The dark-eyed girl nodded, and both lunged at the small object on the table. "Ha! I win. As usual."
The dark-eyed girl smirked at the other's light-coloured glare.
"Shut up. Don't even give me any of that 'Lucky' crap again."
"Don't pout, Clar. I won fairly, just admit it."
Clarity snorted. "Thanks for reminding me why I hate redheads, Luck."
The dark-eyed girl grinned. "Sure thing."
Clarity watched darkly as Luck took the first bite out of the last ice cream bar.
