My Other Half
My other half is missing
I don't know where you are
I don't have face, don't have a name
All I know is you're far away
From where I am, need you so
Want you to be mine to hold
I can't help but wonder, do you feel it too?
The emptiness inside of you?
Scattered, broken memories
Shadowed feelings, Blurry dreams
All I know is that you're somewhere
I don't who, don't know where
I don't know when we'll meet again
But there's something bugging me
Do you remember a making a promise
In a distant memory?
When I find you, will I know it's you?
Will the memories be complete?
Will you chase the shadows from these feelings
And clear the blur in my dreams?
You complete me, you're my other half
And keep waiting for you
And I hope as much as one like me can
You bring my emotions with you too.
I'm so sick of pretending
Of people calling me insane
Do you get these remarks too
When you tell people of your dreams?
Are searching for me, like I'm searching for you?
Are you hoping that you'll find me
And that I'll know it's you?
I want to know these feelings
These memories, these dreams
I want to know I'm not crazy
I want you to be with me.
Stay by my side forever
Maybe that's what you promised me
What were you to me?
Friend? Lover? Enemy?
I look for you in the faces
Of everyone I meet.
Come and cure my emptiness
Come and end the pain
Come and be by my side
Together, we'll stay just this side of insane.

Synopsis
I wrote this, hoping the person it's about will read it. Slim chance, I know. That's one in like, over a billion people. It's about the weird sense of Deja vu I get from things that I shouldn't.
