Loneliness
Sometimes loneliness breeds here.
When darkness falls
and whispers cease.
My mind wanders,
Like a drifter roaming
without purpose or desire.
Words fall from my lips
twisted and distorted,
never taking on a meaningful shape.
A few inches into eternity,
silence turns to fear
of unrepairable injury.
My faith is faltering,
diminishing our worth,
deforming the bond we share.
I am alone and waiting,
only you know where
to find me.
