Healing Sensation

I dig through the bag of unimportance,

finding crumpled up thoughts

and lashed out feelings.

It is filled to the brim,

but it cannot spill-

it crashes.

It reads “durable”

but in fact it lies,

or has not been read by a thorough reader.

These objects are intangible,

as I stretch to touch them,

they wither and recoil,

shaken up by the unfamiliar

crave to be understood.

I am drawn back in,

with a strong desire to heal,

and helplessly

the bag unravels,

and spreads open

within my arms.
