With A Groan

What kind of cloths are youwearing?

What exactly do you want them tosay?

Do you want them all to keepstaring?

Do you hope they turn their eyesaway?

What groups do you want to be putin?

What label do you want stamped onyour forehead?

Do you want to party it up in afamily of sin?

Do you want someone to take youto bed?

What if that pretty smile won’tget you a bank note?

What will you do to get them toremember you?

Do you want to sacrifice yourselffor some petty vote?

Do you need to become something deviantly new?

What if you could make due with ahandshake and a smile?

What is it going to cost you tokeep your little throne?

Do you think it will be worth itto stay just a little while?

Do you want to give it all awayor accept it all with a groan?

not so much anger as hopeless frustration

There is a lot of anger in this. The bitter resentment is very clear, assuming that was the intention. Very thought provoking
