Undone

A frayed rope

I have come undone

unwound

by my own hands.

A loose string

dangling in the air

separate

from others.

Once

twisted and turned

tight

into a knot

I was whole

and happy.

Two ropes

intertwined together

bound tightly

with purpose.

A frayed rope

the knot undone

untied

but never forgotten.

A loose string

falls unbroken, yet

broken

from its place.
