Sakura (Cherry Blossoms)

Sakura,

The memento

Of a loving death,

I will wait with her.

Her soulful touch of pink,

Past purity tainted by  blood;

The proof of everlasting love

Yes I shall wait with her alone.

Her blossoms of old memories,

I wish they would never fall.

So autumn don’t surface yet,

So I can still wait with her.

Until he, my Romeo,

Comes to my aid;

Wait with me,

Sakura.

Hi Jan - I really like this poem - The 2nd and 3rd stanzas have some very beautiful images! If you don't mind I will give you one thought I had about your poem. My opinion only - you can take it or leave it - I just wondered if you couldn't change the name Romeo to the word Love. I just automatically think of the Romeo that is very well known and think if you used -my Love- it might make it easier for your readers to put the name there of who their "Love" is while they are reading and relating - a lot easier. Anyways it is a wonderful poem - I hope that you are keeping healthy and happy ~ Jaydean.

WISH I COULD DREAM FOREVER

Selene, enchantress of the night,
Chain me with light
To this wonder –
My dream’s zephyr.

Let me drift to a paradise
Where no one lies,
And no disdain
Runs through my veins.

Whisper me Endymion’s curse –
Zeus’ spell verse,
So dire sunbeams
Won’t fail my dreams.
