Life

LIFE

Shadows lurking in the alleys –

The crossroads on my mind.

Every turn is a question

And every step starts a mile.

I don’t want to just tag along,

But I can’t bear be alone.

So shall I start walking?

Reading street signs one by one.

Or shall I run the stretch?

So the faster I’d be done.

Great metaphor-covers a lot of life's questions in a short space!

I am digging this piece alot..love the rhyming flow to the poem...the questions asked works very well...love how you brought it home...nice work.

WISH I COULD DREAM FOREVER

Selene, enchantress of the night,
Chain me with light
To this wonder –
My dream’s zephyr.

Let me drift to a paradise
Where no one lies,
And no disdain
Runs through my veins.

Whisper me Endymion’s curse –
Zeus’ spell verse,
So dire sunbeams
Won’t fail my dreams.
