Irrevocable

You can’t retract a blade

Once it was thrust.

Wounds heal in time

But scars remain anew.

Sorry pays in face

But doesn’t compensate.

Tears give satisfaction

But will not quench the hurt.

You can’t take back a word

Once it was said.

Very true. Actions taken cannot be reversed. For all we might wish to turn back time, it will never happen. Very nicely put

WISH I COULD DREAM FOREVER

Selene, enchantress of the night,
Chain me with light
To this wonder –
My dream’s zephyr.

Let me drift to a paradise
Where no one lies,
And no disdain
Runs through my veins.

Whisper me Endymion’s curse –
Zeus’ spell verse,
So dire sunbeams
Won’t fail my dreams.
