A Flicker of Hope (for Candle light)

That silent flicker of hope,

Lost in the midst of dark alleys.

Beyond that raging storm,

It’s light filled with only beauty.

Have you seen that gentle spark?

That silent flicker of hope,

Hiding in those clouded skies

With all the love enveloped.

Hear that soft whisper that’s within,

If you wish to see that marvel -

That silent flicker of hope,

That could make us win this battle.

It is buried in all our souls -

That thing needed for us to cope,

The one thing that may change the world,

That silent flicker of hope.

WISH I COULD DREAM FOREVER

Selene, enchantress of the night,
Chain me with light
To this wonder –
My dream’s zephyr.

Let me drift to a paradise
Where no one lies,
And no disdain
Runs through my veins.

Whisper me Endymion’s curse –
Zeus’ spell verse,
So dire sunbeams
Won’t fail my dreams.
