Black Hawk Down

ACT ONE

The introduction to the characters in this movie is when the film is going around the base camp showing all of the different men and what they do with there free time. Its shows some helicopter pilots some of the CO’s even a new recruit named Blackbird. There is a grate deal of time building up the characters so that the viewer can get to know the men behind the fighting. The story takes place in a different country, where there is a civil war taking place. It gives the viewer the idea that there is a lot of blood shed and hate crimes that take place in the environment. The dramatic premise is with out a doubt a war / action, as clearly shown with all the guys in combat gear, helicopters and people dyeing. Im going to have to say that when they captured the enemy general is inciting incident.

ACT TWO

In my opinion the biggest obstacles in this film is how the black hawk helicopters kept crashing. Not to mention the fact that lots of the good guys kept dyeing and what not. The first culmination is when they capture the targets of there mission. Then bam black hawk down that is the midpoint.

ACT THREE

The climax I feel is the longest part of the movie, this is when all of the firefights take place and lots of combat and things are blowing up and people dyeing. The denouement is when the surviving men are running back to the base camp, even though they are running for miles and you as the viewer desperately want them to make it back because you feel so bad for them. There is no combat and no one is dyeing so it’s the calmest point in the movie other than the beginning. The resolution is at the very end right before the credits, where you are given facts about missing men and the out come of the battle and so on. They were able to do this because it was based on a true story.
