The Winding Road

The Winding Road

Up and Down through the small village on the outskirts of town I roam.  With every winding turn bringing me closer to my special goal.  Slightly upon the top of the hill, where the earth plays footsie with the sky, is where I dream tonight.  Burning daylight fast in to the night, soon I’ll be in my angels heavenly arms.  Twist and turns my direction is very clear, I’ll be in my angels’ dreams.  This long and winding road is hard and very slick, but with every turn I’m one mile closer to my angels heavenly pad.  When I last saw the darkness creeping up in my mirrors, the focus ahead is just of my angels bright smile whose been waiting for me for a while.

One last turn on this long and lonely road and the solitude and loneliness will be over, for I finally arrived.  My long trip behind me no more I roam alone with nostalgia and loneliness playing with my mind as if they are my best friends.  My angels’ arms are where my final journey of solitude and loneliness ends and my journey in to happiness begin.
