memories of my childhood

Memories of my Childhood

When I was five,

I was just happy to be alive

When I was six,

I liked to play pick-up sticks

When I was seven

I was wishing I was eleven,

When I was eight

I was learning how to write the date

When I was nine

I was just fine

When I was ten,
 i saw the family
 life video

I never wanted to see again

When I was eleven

I wished i was seven

When my parents tucked me into bed

And I believed in the fairytales they read

When I was twelve,

I didn’t know anyone

Named Melve

And when I was thirteen

It always seemed

Like I was hyped up on

Caffeine

And now as I’m in my high school years

I realize that as graduation nears,

How all the  little memories always

Bring me tears.

Nice. You just took me back to those years and what I was feeling then. Thank you for the reminisce.
