The Heroes
The Heroes
It was about 10 a.m
On that fateful day
When the clear blue skies turned gray
And the nation was in disarray
Thousands of people died that day
Including the brave fireman
That chose to give up their lives
To save another’s
They ran into the burning building
While everyone else was
Running out
They rushed to people’s aid
Never showing that they were afraid
But when the fireman came out of that building that day
They didn’t feel like heroes
For they had lost their fellow
Fireman brothers
And no one could replace them
But to the people in this country
They all give firefighters their deepest respect because they know
That a firefighter’s heart
Is the bravest of all.
