Mustang '68
Eyes of an angel a sinner by mistake he drives off alone in his mustang 1968 says he’s done it all but says he’s done nothing yet oh he’s got the world in the palm of his hands but he doesn’t see it yet (Chorus) Had a touch of California skies then traveled to Paris, Rome, settled down in Spain for awhile went the wrong way on a one way lane trying to find the way back home Tells me “These mistakes have made me who I am but I can’t tell you you’re better off that way ‘cuz that’s not the man I am today He’ll pretend he doesn’t give a damn but catch him at night and you’ll see he’s got it all planned out in his head wants to find the girl of dreams raise a family a place to call his own just not yet still feels there’s so much he hasn’t done yet (chorus) He’s a man on a mission while I’m still just a girl searching for purpose and I know there’s no room for me in those future dreams but I’ll quietly promise that I’ll never let him down as I listen to his life story from the passenger seat of his mustang ‘68 (chorus x2)
