I Play Myself a Song
I play my self a song to sleep
my soul it is a feather
Ambition void for life to keep
my slumber is forever
Questions come of life's demise
and what it means to me
The real is gone without goodbyes
to my new reality
Shadows reign in this abyss
this darkness I have known
Continuing space and loneliness
for life I shall atone
Sadness comes without remorse
i know how I should live
Keeping strong to stay the course
you said you would forgive
Perfection daunts to elude my take
consistent in its plight
My minds ideal will not awake
it dies without a fight
Subconscious dreams come to the fore
i know from which I woke
I repose as done before
my death dreams do provoke

Deeds for which we find no forgiveness separate us from love. Though the familiar darkness blankets our souls, it brings with it loneliness, separation and sadness... it offering no lasting peace. To forgive is to love. If we do not ask for and learn to forgive ourselves... we become captive to the abyss
