Can't You See I'm On the Phone!

Can’t You See I’m On the Phone!

By Elton Camp

My cellular phone is my chief delight

To use it publicly, I have the right

But a few places where I have gone

Have signs: “Do not use your cell phone”

Free speech is a Constitutional guarantee

They can’t pull that Nazi scheme on me

I’ll talk when and where I please

Ignoring restrictions such as these

Equally annoying are inconsiderate folk

Whose loudness makes me want to choke

Although they see I’m using my phone

They continue loudly talking, on and on

Some even dare to laugh with glee

That I’m on the phone they can see

Some stupid joke the group shared

To hinder my conversation they dared

Therefore, this is my firm demand

“Quiet if I’m talking!  Understand?”

Synopsis
This is a second attempt with this concept. The first version was so poorly written that it was misunderstood at other places I post. I hope this one is better!
