Lifeline
You’re every whisper, every speech and every yell
Loving you can be such heaven, but my God, it can be hell!
You’re every water droplet that flows towards the sea
We’re sailing on the tide of love together, you and me.

You’re the smile on people’s faces when the storm has passed
You’re my one and only love, you’re the first, you’ll be the last.
You’re the golden sunshine that warms a winter day
You’re the blustery breeze that blasts my breath away

You’re my lifeline; you’re my 999
Look into my eyes; we’re frozen still in time
You’re the melody, I’m the harmony
In this song I hope we sing eternally

You’re my past, my present and my future
You’re cheekily kind, with you I feel secure
You’re my private secret, a wondrous mystery
In the stars, our names are linked, twinkling destiny.

You’re every breath I breathe, every shiver down my spine
You’re every love poem I write, every word, every line
Every day we walk together unlocks a bolted door
You’re everything I ever dreamed: maybe even more.
