She Plays Accordion To The Dawn

I rise up fast, the oceanic feeding of sky wells pregnant powers

water’s underbelly blows into burgeoning airs,

I sing high clear notes as baby clouds squeal first light

my hair sprays seas, oceans, and the churn of summer burps bandit winds

as kisses of meadows ardent as birds rise upon stems

O how my mother’s womb has unfurled

my long bending fingers sigh down like strung bows and you dance

like a wild bright place

you laugh, dancer, your skirt, your accordion, its insinuations, your hips!

dance, O dance to me also
