Heart Of Child Flaps Like Birds

the night is resplendent its pebbles of streams its forest crick lows

my hands of thick ink like fingers the wind pulls, am

the prowling snake wink of shaman skin’s blueberried eyes

O simple prayer the heart of child flaps like birds

and mango juice flung through a desolation, bestilling, diamondic

upon oak leaves in the moon kingdom of flame shadows

where wolves their eyes black white waft in song

we kiss

our lips our flesh leaven

the night is resplendent like purpled doves skimming

autumnal midnight ponds’ whiskied droplets ––

shining mist O

simple prayer the heart of child flaps like birds

our blood in blowing torrentials the smooth and ancient boulders

we lay upon as though singing like drunken daisies

to the Bluebirds whirring up and

night is resplendent

my throat is smooth silent prowling ascends

you and the night are resplendent and the night is the love of the day

how bright the sun howling in blue is

soaring from my naked chest
