Daring, You Are Daring

                      wind

I want to be kitelike up like the light

through your hair

the way a new meadow begins, I want

petal

soil has no wisdom but certainty but

is pregnant with lesser kingdoms

these hide the loinclothed keening of she who is clever

as tall grass

wise in the ways of the wind and fire

bliss

only the sky is earthbound

I feel you when I am naked

and in rain when it blows like the end of kingdoms

beneath stones

I raise my arms like begotten tides

and daring is the loveliness that preens to the rising wet sun
