Ephemeral:the ingenuous drifting

where does the dust go

infinity just is
a dance of distance
devils of thievery
a raw soil hue
a dream

weaving a shawl of sand
to toss on fragile collarbones

innocence is transient
fleeting
easily shaken
taken
and squandered
at times
bare
laying by the roadside

the journey of azaleas
magnolia blossoms fade
bleeding into mother earth
but the air rides solemn
while the petals drip

burning incense
curls of obscurity
into the expanse
leaving trails of tiny feet
bruised heels
cinders on the hemisphere

a quiet dissolving
a straight path into eternity
buried
and left with only lids
eyes…intense for a child

the sun must end up somewhere

its so silent here
like cotton fields at night
wind reverberates
nocturnal brooding
on the edge of divine

just a whisper
touching feathery
the skin of angels
wings folded in

while the dust floats to conclusions
going nowhere on the sky

What a magnificent journey, whether it be dust or life itself. The way you tell this touches the soul.
