Waking Disintegration

Hollows grow barren

Worn silk threads unravel

From tapestry

As wind rattles

Branches break

Fragility of life like

Scar tissue of soul

Tattered flesh of heart

Withered wisdom of mind

I am but one

Of many flaws

Grown old by day

Desperate by night

Shadowed by light

Absent in void

All too commonplace

Abandoning the noise

For the silence

Of denial

That sweet nothing

That whispers in my ear

No despair

Nothing’s fair

As I disappear

Amidst the welcomed fog

Wow, I love it. All I can say is, I think you've got what it takes. This is one of the greatest poems I've ever read, and that's including quite a few of the renowned and classics.
