It's Been A Long Time - Chapter One
They both knew that here, under the huppa, reciting their wedding vows, may be the last time that they see each other.

Rose, smiled at him from beneth her veil.  She was hoping that his face, that this moment would live in her mind forever.  Her eyes traced over his dark brown mop of hair.  She really wanted to remember that funny little colick that caused the front piece to droop into his left eye.  And his eyes, oh how she loved his eyes.  They were the color of the deepest blue ocean, not that she had ever seen the ocean, but she could only imagine.  She looked into his eyes, into the soul of the man that she knew she may never see again, and whom she loved more than the depths of the ocean.  Tears formed in the corners of her deep brown eyes.   She tried to hold them back, hoping that they would not well over her lids.  But one gentle tear escaped.

He reaches forward and gently wipes away her tear.  Their eyes lock, entangled, as if they are the only ones in the room.

"Ha Hum", the Rabbi tries to gently interrupt. Their return to this world. "As I was saying...do you Samuel take Rose to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold through richer and pooer to death do you part?"

"I will take her far longer that that," he says as he tweaks the tip of her chin.  She giggles.  There are times that you can tell that they are really just children, at least at heart.  Not more than twenty years old.
