I chose to analyse the movie Ten things I hate about you.
Act One
1.Introduction-The movie introduces Cameron as a new student, Patrick as a troublemaker, Cat as a bitter girl, and Bianca as the popular girl. The conflict introduces Bianca as the object of everyones affection and Cat as her stubborn sister.
2.Dramatic Premise-Romantic, Comedy
3.Ordinary World- High School students who deal with school drama, love, family, and college issues.
4.Inciting Incident-Cameron meets Bianca and wants to date her.
Act two
5.obstacles-Cameron finds out that Bianca cannot date untill her sister dates. He has to find her sister a boyfriend so that he can date her sister.
6.first cumulation- Cameron hires Patrick to date Cat so that he can date Bianca.
7.Midpoint- Patrick and Cat go to prom and Cameron and Bianca go to prom.
Act three
8.Climax-While at the prom Cat finds out that Patrick was hired to date her. She fights with him and leaves the prom. They stop talking.
9.Denoutment- Life goes back to normal. Cat is miserbale and Cameron and Bianca continue to date.
10.Resolution- Patrick buys Cat a guitar and apologises and they get back together. Cameron and Bianca continure to date.
