The Handsome Man
Riding down the highway
Wind blowing through my hair
In my Red Convertible
No troubles to bear
The radio plays my favorite song
Money in my pocket
Traveling far from home
The open road is my best friend, and
The route I'm traveling may never end

A man waves down a ride from me
The most handsome man I've ever seen
With long black hair, and  crystal eyes of blue
He said,  I've waited my whole lifetime for you

All of a sudden, the dog licks my hand!
Oh no!  What happened to the handsome man?
The kids are fighting, loud as can be
This wash is done, but another waits for me
My daydream was interrupted by reality,
But, I'll catch up with him tonight, when I go to sleep

Full of joy...as your work so often is. Love the ending...oh yeah...thank God for dreams; our escape from all the mundane stuff of kids and life. Succinct and fun. Thankyou from a fellow dreamer.
