Inside My Mind
Inside my mind is a lonely place to dwell
Chambers that lock away the secrets
Darkness to hide the wrong I have done
Thinking is the impossible task
For to think is to destroy tomorrow
I will not venture if I know what lies ahead
Fate is to become the enemy
Promise is non-existent within these walls
And tomorrow is like a shooting star
Forever fading in the distance
Falling on strange land, but leaving no mark of it's existence
Hear me!  My mind cries within
Do my eyes not shine to show whats behind them?
Scream and they will hear, but the fragile will faint
For to know my mind, is to wander deep into the forest
Forever getting deeper, and deeper into the trees
Until you are at the point of no return
Then you belong to me....

this is really cool. so many elements i enjoyed. have you considered revising the formatting? i think it would read even better with some breaks and stanzas. this is a wonderful poem. I totally enjoyed it. Though a less obvious title could also make it even more poignant poetically. My favorite line(s) "the fragile will faint" and "Hear me!" and "Thinking is the impossible task"
