CHRISTMAS MEMORIES
We finally opened our presents
Everyone has gone home
I relax back in my recliner
The house is empty, now I'm alone
The laughter of my grandchildren
Still ringing in my ears
I thought I wanted Christmas to be over
Now I wish everyone was still here

When I close my eyes I see pictures
And a smile comes to my face
The memories of them opening their presents
Time will never erase
It's one of those cherished moments
Yes, I've had quite a few
They will cheer me when I'm lonely
Like the one's of my Christmas's with you

I know you're with me in spirit
I can feel you every now and then
I talk to you at times, for hours
When the loneliness rushes in
I still have our children, a little part of you and me
I am thankful for today's moments
And our family, gathered around the Christmas tree

Synopsis
Some people can't wait to get the presents opened, eat, then get peace and quiet again. Or so they thought! We should all cherish the moment's.
