Bubba and Bubbette

Two little hands, two little feet
A chubby face is all you could see
Time goes by and life does too
That little girl looked up to you
To rub your feet, or scratch your back
Made her feel needed, and that's a fact
Chocolate cherries that you loved so much
Got her hands smacked if she tried to touch
She learned to fish, and gamble too
Anything, just to be like you
Mamma and daddy had to leave
But, it was Bubba who helped her grieve
Time has passed and there's gray in her hair
But all is well as long as her Bubba is there
Bubba and Bubbett, they call me and you
I know I'm your sister, but I'm your brother too
As we walk this last mile home
Remember you never have to be alone
Those same two hands, and those same two feet
 Will carry you through
If you ever need me.

Dedicated to my Bubba, whom I love with every fiber of my being..
