So Long, O' Journey Traveled

So Long O' Journey Traveled

So long’ o Journey traveled

Your abuse was good to bear

My soul begins to unravel

While at the deep scars I begin to stare

Forgive my rude dissension

But life I will not fear

Anticipate my cued decision

As a deaf man waiting to hear

Prevent, surely thou whilst try

Fore that, death do I not deny

You’d marry—you and I

But on your prerogatives I don’t rely

I leave you now

Between the betwixt

Teaching you how

Life’s nothing, but a jinx

Oh! A surprise to you this is?

Awaken from thy slumber

For not even one last kiss

Whilst thou receive as encumber

So Long O’ Journey Traveled

Forever! The pain will go away

Though the scars started to unravel

Stars will pave for me, a much better way.

"Though the scars started to unravel Stars will pave for me, a much better way." Beautifully and hauntingly written...I love this piece. It is so classically written, yet is extremely easy to relate to. Your language is brilliant, your metaphors as well; you are very talented and I'm glad to have found and read this.
