Missed Mother
I just want to hold on to a mother
And weep.  And weep.
To find comfort that won't come in sleep.

I want to heave up my troubles and
Let them spill out
To ears who understand.

A love with no doubt
To have all my hurt
And my fear hugged away
Someone to be there
At night or in the day

For my burden's too heavy to carry alone
And many, these trials, they just haven't known.
- But a soft, calm embrace
Dressed in wool, cotton or lace
Could make all the difference
Right now.

Short but so deep and poignant. You captured the emotions so well with this wonderfully written piece. I have a friend whose mother just died of cancer last week and I would love to "give" this to her, with your blessing.
