Contemplations on a platform
Standing on a platform
Day after watching Anna Karenina,
Film of the book I read a decade
Ago.
Train tracks, compelling,
A glance, and a stare
Thoughts entertained
That shouldn't be there.

A train rushes past,
Perhaps down to London -
The thoughts travel with it -
To the end of the platform.

"You wouldn't know much"
I suppose my father would say,
But the passengers would
As they continued their way.

A thoughtful and introspective idea can occur at any time, as you well know. And anywhere. Ahhh, such is life.
